The Orange Line in Boston originally ran from Everett to Forest Hills.
Stops were:
Everett
Thompson Square
City Square
North Station
Union Friend
State Milk
Winter Summer
Essex Boylston
Dover
Northampton
Dudley
Green
Egleston
Forest Hills
Except for the North Station to Essex subway portion the transit line was elevated. Except for this the line has been completed relocated. These photographs are of the South End part of the line before it was taken out of service. The Washington St. corridor has been promised trackless trolley service or light rail which should be coming soon. This new line will be known as the Silver Line.
Thanks to the legendary Scott Adams of New England Transit in hopefully getting at least the stops right. His page currently features the North Side of the Elevated RR.
Boston Trivia: What street crosses Washington St. without changing its name? The answer Mass Ave. This is the reason that all old Orange Line stops had two street names.
