Trains run in about a five mile oval around working cranberry
bogs. There once was an interesting museum included antique cars and other
artifacts. Edaville was and apparently still is especially popular at Christmas
when one could steam through the snow and see Santa's Village.
My favorite there was the "Flying Yankee" which once sailed
thru places like Newburyport Mass. on its way to New Hampshire from Boston's
North Station. See the Flying Yankee Track for up-to-date info on its location
Note: Edaville has reopened in
Oct 99 thru the Christmas Season.
Diesel trains are running. Steam trains are supposedly in the works for
next summer. There is no museum or the like open yet in North Carver but
its a good start! (Dec 22, 1999)
Bill Oates has reported that they are currently open for the 2000 Season.
The Edaville.org
is now their official web site .
